Yesterday, Pastor Chris preached a message on “To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:19-26. He said to us, how differently would our lives look if we lived this out. To live, Christ. To die, gain. If I have been blessed to live this day, I live it for Him and I live it striving to be like Him.
This morning I woke up in a state of irritation with continued situations that come against me and challenge me. I felt myself living from a place of fleshly desires to be angry and bitter, and then came the reminder from the spirit….to live, Christ. With that simple reminder, how then can I apply this in my current mind set? Scripture, and a renewing of my mind.
Here is the scripture the Lord gave me:
Matthew 5:44-45
But I say to you Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons (& daughters) of your father who is in heaven.
When I shifted my focus from complaints and frustrations to prayer and better understanding, I found myself in a place of love. I felt my attitude shift and the joy of Lord was with me. Bitterness, gone. Anger, it done did leave the building.
TO LIVE…CHRIST. That is where I want to be. Join with me friends, in living this scripture out! Where are you at today? How can you be renewed this morning in the Lord? Let Him do that. #tolive #Christ
